DFO | BCCTaipei DFO Vessel Visit

Our Member, 東方風能科技股份有限公司 (DFO), invited members to visit its vessel, Orient Constructor, while it was in port for routine maintenance. As a result, members of the BCCTaipei who joined was allowed to see a working offshore wind installation vessel up close. Being 115 metres long, the ship is designed to accommodate up to 102 personnel and is fitted with a dynamic positioning system to keep the vessel in location and a motion-compensated transfer system to allow technicians to transfer safely between the vessel the turbines. 

Taiwan's offshore wind energy industry is on the boom, with companies like DFO and Offshore Wind Consultants expanding their operations on the seashores of Taiwan. Providing more households than ever with clean energy, moving a step forward in Taiwan's goal of meeting net-zero emissions by 2050.

The BCCTaipei would like to thank DFO for providing such an exclusive opportunity to our members, and we hope soon, more companies with similarly minded initiatives will introduce more clean energy projects within Taiwan.
