2024年優良企業貢獻獎 ——肯定企業對社會責任和永續經營的卓越貢獻

The British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCTaipei) proudly hosted the 2024 Better Business Awards (BBA) ceremony on 25th September at the Regent Taipei Hotel. Now in its eighth year, this prestigious event celebrated companies across Taiwan that are dedicated to responsible business practices. The evening recognised outstanding contributions in seven categories: Business Leader of the Year, Climate Champion, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Diversity, Green Energy, Innovation for Wellbeing, and Social Enterprise.

台北市英僑商務協會（BCCTaipei）於9月25日假台北晶華酒店舉辦第八屆「優良企業貢獻獎」頒獎典禮，旨在表揚於企業社會責任與永續經營中有傑出表現的台灣企業。今年，共頒發了七個獎項，包括：最佳企業領袖獎、最佳氣候行動獎、企業社會責任獎、多元文化獎、最佳再生能源獎、最佳創新健康福祉獎以及社會企業獎。

The ceremony opened with remarks from Samuel Yang, Chairperson of BCCTaipei and Chairman of TutorABC, followed by John Dennis, Representative at the British Office in Taipei. Dr. Eugene Chien (簡又新), President and Chair of the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, then delivered the keynote speech, emphasising the urgency of sustainable development, Taiwan’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions, and the essential role businesses play in addressing global environmental challenges.

典禮由英僑商會理事長與TutorABC董事長楊順銓（Samuel Yang）和英國在台辦事處代表鄧元翰（John Dennis）致開幕詞，隨後由台灣永續能源研究基金會董事長簡又新博士發表專題演講。他強調了推動永續發展的迫切性、台灣對實現淨零排放的承諾，以及企業在應對全球環境挑戰中扮演的重要角色。

This year’s event attracted nearly 100 award applications, highlighting the growing movement of businesses working together to create positive change. Samuel Yang remarked, “The Better Business Awards are more than just a celebration of success; they represent the hard work, dedication, and passion of those striving for excellence every day.”

今年的活動吸引了近百家企業的申請，展現了台灣企業在積極推動變革上的熱情。楊順銓表示：「優良企業貢獻獎不只是慶祝企業的成功，更是對那些每天努力追求卓越的企業和個人所付出努力的肯定。」

John Dennis echoed this sentiment, stating, “As we all navigate the increasing complexities of the 21st century, the importance of responsible business has never been more apparent. The Better Business Awards stand as a testament to the unwavering commitment of organisations and individuals to create a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future.”

鄧元翰也表示：「在21世紀與日俱增的挑戰下，負責任的企業比以往任何時候都來得重要。這個獎項展現了企業和個人對於打造更可持續、公平與繁榮未來的堅定承諾。」

The Better Business Awards spotlight companies that go beyond profit, prioritising their responsibility to society and the environment. Reflecting BCCTaipei’s core values, these awards recognise businesses that embed sustainability and ethical practices into their operations, driving meaningful and lasting change. These visionary companies are leading the way toward a cleaner, greener, and more inclusive world, proving that success is defined not only by financial growth but also by the positive impact they leave on society and the planet.

「優良企業貢獻獎」旨在肯定那些不僅追求利潤，還積極承擔社會和環境責任的企業。這些獎項反映了台北市英僑商務協會的核心價值，表揚那些將永續發展和道德實踐融入企業經營，並推動長期變革的企業。這些有遠見的公司正在引領我們邁向一個更清潔、更綠色、更具包容性的世界，證明了企業的成功不僅在於財務成長，更在於對社會和環境的正面影響。

As the ceremony concluded, Colin Giles, CEO of BCCTaipei, delivered the closing remarks, saying, “Evenings like this remind us of the incredible stories behind every business. Tonight, we’ve seen how success is driven by purpose, not just profit. Our finalists have set new standards in sustainability, diversity, and social responsibility, showing us what true leadership looks like.” He added, “Your dedication inspires us all, and we look forward to celebrating even more success stories in the future.”

台北市英僑商務協會執行長趙柯林（Colin Giles）在閉幕致詞中分享：「每個企業背後都有一個激勵人心的故事。今天，我們見證了這些成就，這不僅是追求利潤，而是源自企業對目標的承諾。我們的入圍企業在永續發展、多元化和社會責任方面樹立了新的標準，展示了真正的領導力。」他補充道：「你們的奉獻鼓舞了所有人，我們期待未來能夠見證更多的成功故事。」
