Company Description: HSBC Bank (Taiwan) Limited, a subsidiary of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, was locally incorporated in May 2010. HSBC’s presence in Taiwan dates back to 1885 when the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation appointed an agent. A full-service branch was established in Taipei in 1984. In 2007, HSBC acquired one of Taiwan’s leading factoring companies, Chailese Credit Services, and opened a new life insurance company. In 2008, HSBC acquired the business and operations of The Chinese Bank in Taiwan. Currently, HSBC Taiwan’s network comprises of 46 outlets, of which 29 branches are located in the Greater Taipei area while other outlets are in the key cities of Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Changhua, Tainan and Kaohsiung.
