Company Description: Harvey’s of Edinburgh was originally established in 1770 by two brothers John and Robert Harvey, as a licensed grocery shop business. There, they began the creation of the Harvey’s family whisky business. Then, after eleven generations and over 240 years of tradition, have remained a consistent family business ever since, dedicated to the single malt whisky industry. In 1815, during the reign of King George III, Lord Byron married Seaham Hall Owner’s daughter, Lady Annabella Milbanke. In celebration of his wedding and in knowledge of his Royal friend’s preference, Lord Byron gifted a cask of SPEY Single Malt Whisky to King George III. It was this gift that commenced a long –term relationship and allowed the more recent ROYAL CHARITY cooperation. Harvey’s of Edinburgh International Ltd has been supporting “ The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts” in the preservation of traditional arts and crafts, in hopes that the talented artists will infuse a modern perspective onto these traditional arts and bring about larger innovation and inspiration.
