Company Description: Lightsource bp is a global leader in the development and management of solar energy projects, and a 50:50 joint venture with bp. Our purpose is to deliver affordable and sustainable solar power for businesses and communities around the world. Our solar projects span 19 countries across 6 continents, resulting in over 5.7GW of solar power to date. By 2025, we’re targeting 25GW – it’s a challenge that drives us onwards.
Company Products/Services: Lightsource bp is an international solar business. We develop, finance, build and operate utility-scale solar power projects through smart and sustainable solutions. We create value across the entire asset lifecycle by using an integrated approach to our business structure. From financing and development through to long-term maintenance, our in-house team provides a full-service experience to our customers. Lightsource bp does not provide any manufacturing services or supply raw materials; we build and maintain our solar power plants with parts, services and equipment purchased from the third-party supply chain. Lightsource bp sources solar panels, transformers, inverters, trackers and other related materials and services either directly from manufacturers, or indirectly through our engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners or co-development partners.
