Vita Chien has been with AstraZeneca for 15 years, excelling in various commercial roles across Taiwan, Singapore, and the UK. She has a proven track record of leading teams to deliver exceptional business outcomes in therapeutic areas such as primary care, oncology, and rare diseases. Most recently, she served as the Global Head of Established Oncology, overseeing clinical trials, manufacturing, and regulatory activities worldwide. In Taiwan, Vita secured reimbursement for lung and ovarian cancer drugs and successfully handled a counterfeit crisis in collaboration with the government.

Vita holds a BSc in Biotechnology and a PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of Auckland. She has managed numerous product launches and expertly navigated product life cycles post-patent expiration. In November 2023, she assumed the role of General Manager at AstraZeneca Taiwan, leveraging her extensive expertise to drive the company’s growth and innovation in the healthcare sector.

Since returning to Taiwan, Vita has been an active participant in the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei's activities, engaging in various BCCTaipei and British Office events and discussions relevant to the healthcare sector. Her involvement underscores her commitment to fostering collaboration and driving advancements within the industry.
