About

Company Description: The Community Services Center is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 to serve the international community in Taiwan by offering information, counseling, newcomer orientation, cross-cultural training, and various programs and activities.

Company Products/Services: Counseling: The Center provides professional counseling for a wide range of concerns from adjustment, relationship issues, substance abuse, children’s issues, and more. All our counselors are Western trained with at least a Master-level degree and extensive clinical experience. Newcomer Orientation and Cross-Cultural Training: The Center offers customized workshops about Chinese culture to help expatriates transition smoothly into living and working in Taiwan. Events and Activities: Whether your interest is cooking, reading, arts and crafts, health and fitness, or Chinese culture and language, we have a program for you. Publications: Centered on Tai¬pei is a lifestyle magazine published 10 times per year. This magazine profiles fascinating people, fun activities, and points of interest in Taiwan. Taipei Living is the essential resource guide for life in Taipei. This book offers tips on everything from emergency preparedness, to obtaining a driver’s license, to exploring the island. Taipei Escapes 1 and 2 are two guidebooks that offer detailed and carefully researched information for exploring Northern Taiwan. The Islands of Taiwan A comprehensive guide to Taiwan’s many outlying islands, their endlessly fascinating culture, eventful history, and many attractions. Taiwan A-Z provides a fascinating insight into the traditions, cultures, festivals, food and etiquette surrounding everyday life in Taiwan. Yangmingshan the Guide is a comprehensive guide to the many attractions and hiking trails in the national park. Taxi Cards are bilingual cards with nearly 200 listings of shops, hotels, government offices and golf courses, as well as useful Chinese phrases. Every card contains information in English, Chinese characters and Pinyin. GPS coordinates are included with addresses.
