Tournament Rules

2-Person Texas Scramble (sometimes called Captain’s Choice)
    Two ball Texas scramble with each pair’s gross score counting towards Chamber’s overall team score
    In this Texas scramble all players will play off zero handicap.
    Each player tees off on each hole.
    The best of the tee shots is selected and both players play their second shots from within 6 inches no nearer the hole from that spot (if selected ball lies in a hazard or rough, both players must play their next shot from the same hazard or rough).
    The better of the second shots is then determined, and then both play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed and the gross score is recorded.
    When the spot to play from has been chosen the other ball may be placed within six inches no nearer the hole but must remain in a hazard if that is where the original came to rest.
    All putts must be holed (no gimmee’s)
    Each two-ball team must use 7 drives from each player but are allowed to choose when and at which hole they use the drives.
    Please beware once the first ball is holed that score must be recorded as the gross score for the team at that hole. If a player putts and then taps his ball in the second player from his team may not attempt to hole his putt and card one less stroke for the hole.

Prizes
    To qualify as the winner of the Chamber Challenge trophy, each chamber must enter four team cards for their four pairs.
    If a chamber is unable to enter four team cards the highest gross card from the other Chamber’s participating pairs will be used.
    The challenge trophy will be decided on the lowest combined gross score of the four pairs from each Chamber.
    In the event of a tie between two Chambers, the gross score on holes 10 to 18 will be used as count back on the lowest gross pair for each Chamber. If scores are still tied, gross scores on holes 1 to 9 will be used from the same pairs, then second lowest gross pair and so on.
    Individual pair prizes will be based on the lowest gross score from each pair. In the event of a tie holes 10 to 18 will be used as count back, if scores are still tied holes 1 to 9 will be used and if scores still tied, will compare the average gross scores of holes 9 and 18, 8 and 17, etc.

Player Eligibility:
    In the spirit of the event, players should be paid up members of the Business Group or Society that they are representing.
    Each chamber is allowed one guest (non-chamber member) to participate in one pair and still quality for the challenge trophy, i.e. the other 7 must be Chamber members
