British Chamber of Commerce Inaugural Women in Business Network Event

On March 30th The British Chamber of Commerce Taipei held its first dedicated Women in Business Network event. The event proved to be a huge success attracting business and professional women from a large cross section of industries throughout Taipei.

Guest speaker Betty Miao, Head of Personal Financial Services, HSBC in Taiwan spoke to the audience about her experiences of how to manage a successful international career, highlighting the challenges she faced along the way and the decisions she made in order to prepare for her leadership position. Afterwards there was plenty of time left for networking, exchanging business cards and enjoying the wonderful food and wine.

The Women in Business Network has been established to provide a structured yet fun and informal environment to bring together like-minded business and professional women form the local and international community in Taiwan. It offers a great opportunity to make new friends, share experiences as well as develop important business contacts and advance your professional career. The next event will be held in June.
