Membership Categories & Fees

Regular Membership

Regular Membership is open to any companies, partnerships, sole proprietorships, unincorporated associations, societies or other organisations incorporated or registered in the UK, or with UK management, or with substantial connections to the UK, and having offices in Taiwan; or to any British National.

Regular membership carries the rights to both voting and holding office.

Large Corporate

Applies to companies with 50 or more employees in their Taipei office(s). A maximum of three corporate representatives may be nominated, with one representative designated the “Authorised Representative”, who shall hold the voting rights of the member. The other two representatives, known as the “Additional Representatives”, shall be entitled to all privileges of membership, excepting voting and holding office.

Small Corporate

Applies to companies with less than 50 employees in their Taipei office(s). A maximum of one corporate representative may be nominated, designated the “Authorised Representative”, who shall hold the voting rights of the company member. Small Corporate members may have Additional Representatives only by adding Corporate Additional members (see below).

Individual

Applies to British Nationals not otherwise qualifying under Corporate membership. Each Individual member shall be the "Authorised Representative".

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to any companies, partnerships, sole proprietorships, unincorporated associations, societies or other organisations incorporated or registered in the UK, but without offices in Taiwan; or to any companies partnerships, sole proprietorships, unincorporated associations, societies or other organisations which are incorporated or registered in any part of Taipei; or individuals who do not qualify for membership under regular membership.

General Associate

Open to companies of any size. A maximum of 1 corporate representative may be nominated, with this representative designated the "Authorised Representative." General Associate members may have Additional Representatives only by adding Corporate Additional members (see below).

Entrepreneur

Open to the Principal of a company or partnership with a maximum of five employees, including the Principal(s), or to any self-employed individual not otherwise qualifying under Regular Membership.

BritPack Membership

BritPack is for those with interests in the Chamber's social events and activities only. Membership is open to all.

Corporate Additional Membership

Available to any Large Corporate, Small Corporate, or General Associate Member who wishes to extend the benefits of membership within the Chamber to other employees of the same Member company, where the maximum number of nominated representatives has already been filled.
