Mr. Saul Eslake Chief Economist, Australia & New Zealand Banking Group
With the end of 2007 fast approaching, Mr. Eslake, one of the most
well-known economists in Australia, will provide a unique perspective into
the Economic outlook for 2008. He will discuss expectations in regards to
Economic Growth, Major Capital Flows, FX and Interest Rate Movements,
relevant to Taiwan, Asia and Australia.

About the Speaker
Mr. Eslake has been Chief Economist of the Australia and New Zealand Banking
Group (ANZ) since August 1995. Prior to joining ANZ, Eslake worked for AXA
insurance, Merrill Lynch and the Australian Treasury. He is currently a
member of the Australian Government’s Foreign Affairs Council, Trade Policy
Advisory Council, and Tourism Forecasting Committee, and of the Premier of
Victoria’s Business Advisory Network. . He is also Chairman of the Tasmanian
Arts Advisory Board, a member of the Advisory Panels for the Economics
Schools of the University of Tasmania, Monash University and RMIT
University.
