The Key to Unlocking Your Creative Abilities is at Hand...

Creative thinkers ARE the best problem solvers. They are able to free their minds, take on unconventional thinking, and come up with the BIG idea. It is not a magical or mystical gift; in fact, everyone was born to be creative. It is the reason we have a sense of wonder and curiosity as children, but lose it as we mature. Through formal schooling, society and conditioning, we are compelled to conform. And that constricts our freedom to imagine and create new ideas. Through time, your creativity has been eroded and has been hidden from you. However, this is not to say that it isn't there. It IS there! All you need to do is awaken it.

This workshop is designed to help you “UNLOCK” your natural creative abilities through exercises, activities, games, and discussions. Various “schools of thought” will be introduced and discussed, including how your mind works in a creative sense. Each exercise will apply various principles, procedures, and methodologies to be discussed during this workshop. Through this process, people can realize their real creative potential and perhaps learn a little about themselves as well.

“Ideas are the currency of success. They separate you from your competition.” -Dr. Edward de Bono

Creative thinking is required in all aspects of business and is well suited for people who work in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, R&D, Programming, Finance, HR, and logistics. A creative organization will have better ideas, which will produce better results. A successful organization cannot exist without creativity. This is a perfect course for you and your staff.

Topics Covered:

  • Where creativity is needed and/or utilized in the workplace

  • Different “schools of thought” – Vertical vs. Lateral Thinking

  • Other approaches – Synectics, Visualizations, Metaphorical, Relationship, Analogical

  • Brainstorming – Learn the different techniques

  • Case Studies – How and why they succeeded

  • Creative Exercises and Activities, Finding the BIG ideas

  • Work on an Actual Case – Group brainstorming for ideas needed by participants

  • Summary of Techniques and take-away guidelines for participants to follow
